Every month we hold a meeting and we feature a guest speaker to educate and entertain.
In the past we have had many guest speakers such as Captain Tom Van Horn from Coastal Angler, Captain Chris Myers with Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Charters, Captain Jim Ross, T.J. Bettis, Todd Vivian of Mudhole, Alex Gorichky of Local Lines Charters, Captain Rodgers from the Hawgwild Show, Rodney Smith, Don McCumber Shark Kayaker, Chad Roberts of the Marine Discovery center, Robert Duerscheidt of Florida Kayak Angler, Rick from the Snook Foundation, Rod Price with the Friends of the Wekiva, Mary Carswell the kayak instructor amongst many, many many others.
They have covered subjects ranging from kayaking technique, conservation, instructions on using specific lures & retrieval techniques all the way to the methods to locate predatory fish in the lagoon system.
After the seminar we always cover a few club topics and also introduce any new club members. We finish the meetings with a free-for-all chaos of simultaneous fishing discussions.
